DUBAI & MIDDLE EAST |
Dubai and other states in the Middle East are increasingly popular destinations offering visitors a unique holiday adventure - with luxury hotels and excellent leisure facilities, sunshine virtually guaranteed, beautiful beaches and Arabian hospitality |
Dubai is a cosmopolitan city with distinctive cultural blend of 'old meets new' and 'east meets west'. Located on the southern shores of the Arabian Gulf it is the best known of the seven emirates which make up the United Arab Emirates. Outside the city and beach area, the Emirate is sparsely inhabited with desert landscape |
Founded on ocean borne trading, Dubai has welcomed visitors to its hot, sandy shores for hundreds of years. Today this entrepreneurial tradition remains strong and visitors are guaranteed warmth and hospitality in the City of Merchants
In Dubai you can choose from a tremendous array of luxurious modern hotels with superb accommodation, dining, entertainment facilities and excellent water sports. Choose from beachside to city centre as well as mountain and desert settings
Experience the diversity of Dubai by taking a tour to discover the City, indulge in a shopping spree, cruise the Creek in traditional dhow and there is much, much more. Among the most popular are desert safaris. These conclude with spectacular sunset views over the desert dunes followed by a traditional Arabian barbecue under the stars or visit to a Bedouin village
OMAN & QATAR
Oman and Qatar are gaining in popularity as their tourism friendly infrastructure develops and they provide interesting contrasts to the Emirate of Dubai
Oman has a rich cultural heritage including unique archaeological sites of world significance and UNESCO listed forts. An extensive coastline, spectacular sandy beaches and hot sunny climate make it ideal for outdoor recreational activities and water sports. While most visitors are lured by the luxury resort hotels around Muscat, this large country has much more to offer adventurous travelers
Qatar is less well known though quickly developing tourism on the back of its oil wealth. Doha, the principal city, welcomes visitors to a land of glitzy hotels, shopping, towering sand dunes, ancient rock carvings and distinctive architecture. Primarily of Bedouin culture, there are beautiful artefacts of weaving such as rugs and cushions. As a small country, there is enough to take your interest for a few days and the best time to visit is during the winter months in Europe. Much of the activity is in the resort hotels in Doha with swimming pools, sports and health clubs
