Love is in the air at Frégate Island Private

Just off Grande Anse, one of Frégate’s seven dream beaches, a wooden staircase winds up around the trunk of a coconut tree, leading up to a hand-crafted, three square metre private platform discreetly camouflaged in palm leaves. From its four metre-high vantage point, the Bird’s Nest commands breathtaking views across the sparkling turquoise Indian Ocean to the west, scenes of the glorious beach and jungle to the south; and a panorama of the island’s dense endemic foliage towards the east and north.
